Functional Testing

  • Solderability testing verifies that PCB pads and component leads can form reliable solder joints during the assembly process.
  • PCB contamination testing: Contamination testing detects ionic residues and surface contaminants that may affect electrical performance, reliability and long-term product stability.
  • Micro-sectioning analysis: Microsection analysis examines the internal structure of a PCB to verify layer alignment, plating quality, hole integrity and manufacturing consistency.
  • Time-domain reflectometer (TDR): TDR testing measures controlled impedance and signal integrity by identifying impedance variations along PCB traces and transmission lines.
